Working within our new Home Group Repairs Service team, you’ll provide predictable, reliable and consistent outcomes to all Home Group customers, colleagues and stakeholders in the delivery of your work. You’ll have day to day accountability for quality control across our maintenance workstreams, planned will include various sites and projects, providing in house technical support, problem solving and advice on specifications and standards to be achieved, including variations, quality and scoping of work, and that H&S requirements are being met throughout the process.

When you join, you’ll discover that it’s our brilliant people and culture that make a difference. We are No. 7 in the UK’s Best Super Large Great Places to Work, 4th Best Place in the UK for Great Places for Women to Work, 18th in the Stonewall Top 100 and hold Investors in People Platinum Standard!

About our team
You’ll be working as part of our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering a first-class maintenance solution to our customers.  Our Director Paul has worked here at Home Group for almost 3 years now, having worked in contact centres and maintenance environments for the past 14 years. Outside of work Paul enjoys a hectic social life and when not cooking is planning his next trip with his wife Victoria!

You’ll be hybrid working from home and from our office at Belmont in Durham. You will be working for Mark who has a background in Maintenance, Planned & Cyclical works for various Housing Associations.

Where you’ll work
You’ll work around the Sunderland area initially, improving our Planned Delivery function. You'll ideally be based in the North East.

The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.

When you’ll work
It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

About you
You’ll be RICS or CIOB accredited with a Building Surveying degree or similar qualification.  You’ll have up to date knowledge of building construction, planned works delivery, repairs and safety which you can speak about and implement with confidence to your stakeholders.

You’ll have a commercial mind-set, being curious and confident to challenge spend and quality of works, keeping projects and programmes of work to be delivered on time and within budget.

Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's really important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
