More about your role

At Places for People, customers are at the heart of everything we do. Our Place Managers are essential in ensuring our neighbourhoods are safe, clean, and attractive.  If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can make a difference to people's lives this is the role for you.

You will be our presence in our neighbourhoods providing an effective and efficient tenancy, leasehold, and estate management service to our customers. Working in an agile environment you can expect that no day will be the same.

You will be responsible for regular estate inspections making sure that communal areas and customers' homes are safe and well maintained. You will deal with tenancy changes, tenancy audits, property inspections and enquiries from tenants and leaseholders.

Operating across several London boroughs you will deal with a mixture of tenures including Affordable and social rent, leasehold, freehold and managing agents.  You will be responsible for providing a customer focussed service to all, with a particular focus on Homeowners.  You will respond to property and lease enquiries including S20 and service charge and account enquiries.

Please note: This is a homebased role. You must have a safe and suitable homeworking environment. You must have a valid driving licence and your own vehicle, and also be willing and able to use public transport when more suitable in order to travel to sites across London regularly, and to our regional offices in London and in other UK cities for training and conferences occasionally. This may involve overnight stays. All travel and accommodation will be paid for.

More about you

You will be an energetic individual that is highly organised and pride themselves on attention to detail.

You will have experience working within a similar tenancy and estates management role, specifically dealing with home ownership matters and have relevant and up to date knowledge of housing legislation and procedures which will allow you to make informed decisions. An awareness of legislation relating to home ownership/leasehold management and of current issues in home ownership/leasehold management is highly desirable.

We need you to have excellent communication skills with a polite and courteous manner. You must be able to create and maintain effective working relationships so you can effectively resolve problems and achieve the best outcome for our customers.

You will need to demonstrate tenacity and resilience, as well a commercial approach to what you do. You will need to be a positive motivator with the ability to support others deliver an effective service, whilst maintaining your own motivation levels working autonomously.
