Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Home based with frequent travel 

Salary: up to £53,000 per annum DOE

About the role

You will be responsible for providing effective commercial and contract management arrangements, NEC and/or JCT, as well as ensuring the commercial interests and contractual obligations of Anchor Hanover are protected.

You will undertake audits of commercial and contract management arrangements with Delivery Teams that are made up of of Surveyors  and Compliance Leads who undertake project management of the works.

You will be accountable for managing financial and/or project performance and ensuring robust financial forecasting. You will also ensure that all financial systems are updated, working with Finance colleagues to ensure effective payment and financial forecast mechanisms are in place.

It will be your responsibility to undertake cost value reconciliations to ensure that Anchor can certify payments and develop long term strategies to reduce costs of the service. You will also be directly responsible for cost savings and have the ability to price works from first principles and benchmark costs with market data.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • PQE Quantity Surveying Experience
  • MRICS status.
  • Recent experience in commercial and contract management of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Proven commercial experience working within social housing maintenance and planned investment sector, Contractor Side (Essential) and/or client side.
  • Experience of cost planned investment, M&E and compliance services and/or reactive maintenance work.
  • It is essential that you have strong organisational and time management skills, sound communication skills and a flexible and co-operative approach and be a team player.
