We're seeking a Head of Housing to provide strategic and operational leadership and direction to multiple regional teams reporting into you, ensuring the provision of neighbourhood, estate and operational services meet the Clarion service standard, operate within policy and to agreed procedures.

What will you be doing?

In this critical leadership role, you'll act as a conduit for operational staff, providing support, direction advice and guidance, providing a strategic overview of our services and ensure effective planning and operational priority setting is in place.

We'll look to you to deliver an integrated and consistent day to day neighbourhood management service across all tenure groups ensuring best practice, regulatory requirements and business priorities are delivered, and ensure a joined up approach between Tenancy Specialist, Available Homes, Resident Involvement, Live Smart, Supported Housing Caretaking and Environmental Services Teams is achieved in the delivery of our Corporate and Neighbourhood priorities.

You'll also be fully responsible for embedding resident involvement within our service provision across all disciplines, ensuring that residents have regular opportunities to participate and feedback on services.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong leadership and operational management skills with confident decision making skill
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Empathy and passion, a clear understanding of the operating environment and multiply customer needs and requirements.
  • Conflict management skills, resilience and strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work to own initiative in a pressurised environment and deliver to deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex matters
  • Strong business planning and financial management experience

Qualified to degree level or with equivalent operational experience that meets the required skills and attributes, you'll also need a sound understanding of the social housing environment and emerging government policy.
