We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager - Repairs (1 post) to join our Growth & Development team.

Reporting to the Development Technical Manager, the Assistant Project Manager - Repairs will identify remedial works relating to development and latent defects, liaising with development contractors and employers’ agents to manage the successful completion of works. You will manage development contractors to ensure all adoption processes are fully completed following handover of schemes.

The role will involve attending pre-handovers of newbuild properties and assisting the Clerk of Work and Employers Agent in snagging, managing the development contractor to ensure all snags are rectified at handover. You will ensure that customer service is at the heart of the defects process, managing contractors proactively to ensure Onward’s excellent aftercare standards are maintained. Work across all tenures including sales properties utilising customer feedback to influence future developments, to embed and support a culture of continuous improvement and learning to reduce the number and severity of defects in future schemes.

You will also liaise with customers and development contractors to ensure all repairs are administered satisfactorily during the defect liability period of newbuild properties, manage the development contractors to undertake defect repairs to the required quality, and manage customer expectations and contractor standards for repairs that are not deemed to be defects.

It is essential that you are educated to HNC/D level in a building related study, as well as having experience in building and repair diagnostics and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. It is desirable that you have experience in newbuild construction, and understanding of building contracts and collateral warranties, and experience of contract management.
