We are actively seeking a Project Manager to work in our Development team, covering new development sites in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Sussex.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a range of developer-led development contracts.  You’ll act as the lead representative and key project manager of each contract, ensuring a quality product is provided for Aster’s customers.

Your remit will see you managing contractual compliance, programme management, legal requirements and building control, charging, audit, health and safety and quality, so there’s a large remit and you’ll need to feel confident in your experience to date to take on the role.

You’ll work with external stakeholders, including developers and consultants and local authorities.  You may find yourself representing Aster at external meeting and consultations.

You’ll also work alongside internal stakeholders including our housing, sales, finance and maintenance teams.

You will use your existing skills to ensure that quality products are provided at all our schemes, that the schemes are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality.

About you

Previous experience of residential development and a thorough and a current understanding of the development process, in particular the on-site delivery of residential development.

You will have the drive to lead on new business opportunities from appointing consultants, preparing reports for approval, and managing the pre-contract process for land and build contracts.

You will be confident in your ability to deliver on time, whilst managing a number of different projects in different places.

You will be happy working alone but will also have the skills to collaborate effectively, influencing when you need to, to get the job done.

The role will require travel, so you’ll ideally be based within the counties the role will cover, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Sussex.  Local knowledge will really help to support you in the role.

What’s in it for me

We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:

  • We invest in colleagues’ careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
  • Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance
  • Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back
  • Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
  • Enhanced leave
  • We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised thank you and monthly and annual awards.
