We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have a variety of complex support needs, including Learning difficulties, complex Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis. They live in a a beautify grade two listed building with 9 ensuite bedrooms in the rural town of Hexham.
We support our customers to achieve their own goals and aspirations using a Strengths based support model. We encourage our customers to develop their independent living skills through 121 support from Level 3 trained Support Coordinators.
The focus is always on our customers and we encourage an extremely person-centred approach, whether this be supporting our customer to wash the dishes or attend a community group or to do the weekly shop.

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Rachael. There are 6 of us in the Northumberland Managers team, But more than 60 support staff across Northumberland. We don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
We provide 24-hour support to our customers. You’ll work on a rota basis, working the twilight hours doing waking nights work. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services. You will ensure the safety and securing of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours!
You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. As our housing support Concierge, you’ll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our clients during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.
If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you, if you need help.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
