Alternatively, if you haven’t worked in this sector before and you’re considering a change in your career by applying for this role we’d love to hear what transferrable skills and experience you have that you can bring to this role. You’ll be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging risks to individuals, teams or the contract and it’s also important that you have excellent communication skills, IT skills and strong analytical skills too. So, join us and lead a team which is doing things differently and spending more time making a real difference to vulnerable people’s lives.

We want someone like you, who has experience in managing teams and ideally experience of managing contracts, associated KPI’s, budgets and can drive the consistent delivery of high-quality services to meet the needs of our customers and commissioners.

To be awesome in this job, your key strengths will lie in people management and motivation, bringing colleagues together to share information and best practice. You’ll maintain strong professional relationships with your peers and their teams as well as external stakeholders.  We’ll be impressed with your passion for promoting independence and social inclusion, as well as your focus on quality, efficiency and your ability to develop service provision in new and innovative ways. This is a fast-paced service and you’ll need to thrive on the challenge that this busy service brings. You’ll be resilient and resourceful with the ability to prioritise your workload and flex with the changeable needs of the service.

To make sure our customers and colleagues are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a management role before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

As this is a leadership in the community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!

You will also join the wider Midlands Management team which is a brilliantly, friendly and knowledgeable group of colleagues who look out for each other. We meet regularly to share knowledge, ideas and to have a good catch up on what’s going on across the region. Your Manager will be Zoe who’s been with us at Home Group for 13 years. Zoe has supported customers directly and has led teams of Support Workers and Managers for many years.
