An exciting opportunity has come up for a Multi Trade Operative (Carpenter) to join the team in Waltham Forest.

You will assist with the Maintenance Operations in the smooth delivery of a quality customer focused service. The successful applicant will be skilled to a multi trade level to assist the `Right First Time’ culture we promise our clients.  You should also be capable of promoting the PGM Brand.

You will be able to demonstrate primary trade background to ensure the experience will assist in ensuring a quality and efficient delivery. The candidate will ensure that they are organised to carry out a multiple number of tasks or calls per day as directed by the Operations team ensuring we are carrying out an efficient service within our service level agreements.

You should be confident dealing with customers and be ready to go the extra mile to uphold customer satisfaction as well as maintaining high quality work ensuring all repairs are carried out to high standards.

Due to PGM’s exciting and ambitious growth plans, the work environment for this role is likely to be fast paced and frequently changing. To work effectively in this role, the post-holder will need to be flexible around duties and tasks undertaken and / or base location. 

Essential criteria:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Own tools
  • CSCS card
  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • Experience within the maintenance environment
  • City & Guilds or NVQ in a Relevant trade or relevant experience

A van will be provided but you will need to have your own tools.

Tier 1 / Banding 1

Single trade skill only

£27,000 to £28,000

Tier 2 / Banding 2

Multiple trade skill

£28,500 - £29,500

Tier 3/ Banding 3

Multiple trade skill, ability to mentor Trades staff, I.T super user with specialist case management capabilities

£29,500 - £32,000

All permanent appointments will be on PGM terms and conditions.

The successful applicant will need to be subject to a background disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
