Job Details

Peabody has invested over 2 million pounds in new landscape, waterways, plantings and wild flowers all over Thamesmead. We are looking for full time, permanent passionate gardeners to work in the Thamesmead area, improving the green spaces for our residents and visitors to enjoy and escape to. You will give excellent front line customer service, by providing environmental services to the community of Thamesmead ensuring a clean, safe and well maintained environment. 

You will be at the centre of everything we do and as you’ll be out there looking after their surroundings, you will replace and fix bollards and fencing, playgrounds maintenance (including fixing equipment) and general maintenance. Ensuring that Peabody Health & Safety requirements as a landlord, a service provider and as an employee are adhered to.

Previous experience is essential as Multi Trade Operative with outdoor experience. Due to the nature of this role a full driving licence is required.

Regular overtime as we operate 365 days a year (time and half at weekends, double pay for Bank Holidays and treble pay for Christmas Day, Boxing Day New Year’s Day)

Generous Attendance Bonus which runs from 1 November  – 31 October (can be up to £1,000 if you don’t have any sick days)

We believe investing in our staff training and development for nationally recognised training qualifications I.E. Jet Wash, Tractor, Ride-on, Flail arm to name a few.

The working hours are Monday – Friday 8am-3.30pm.
