Senior Technician

The Role:

A vacancy has arisen in our Property Services team for a Senior Technician. This role will consist of both operational and office based activities. Reporting to the Assistant Manager in Voids, the main roles and responsibilities for this role are to:

Supervisor Role:

• To liaise and give regular updates to managers in all areas of voids and plastering contracts
• To liaise with the Voids and Plastering team, providing advice and support with technical information
• Dealing with customer complaints and providing solutions and recommendations for problems to enable the best outcome for the Trust and the customer
• To assist and/or oversee ladder and scaffold inspections
• To assist and/or oversee tool audit
• To complete health and safety site visits, ensuring compliance and taking any necessary action when required
• To undertake plastering jobs from time to time
• To provide cover for the Plasterers when needed

Plastering Surveying:

• To undertake plastering measures, engaging with the customer, giving clear instructions to meet customers’ expectations
• To write up the measures with concise details to aid the planner and operative
• To liaise with the Customer Hub and complaints team to deliver positive resolutions to complaints

The Person:

The successful candidate will have the following;

Essential:

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• The ability to adapt to ever changing situations as they arise
• A good sound knowledge of plastering and plastering experience
• Drivers Licence
• A plastering qualification

Desirable

• Basic understanding of excel, word, emails systems

A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role as travel is required.
