About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to how the service is managed within our Hartrigg Oaks retirement community. As Deputy Manager you will work closely as a team with the Registered Manager to provide relationship centred leadership and direction that ensures a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led service that treats people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
The role of Deputy Manager will allow you to support with the overall high performance of the care service team that contributes to the delivery of the JRHT/JRF strategic plan.
In addition, you will deliver an economically viable service that is a key part of the community, developing and managing relationships with all stakeholders including residents and their families, staff, local health and welfare professionals as well as being responsible for delegated areas of quality and compliance.
We want to make sure that everyone, including our residents and staff, are kept safe and have extensive safety and infection control measures in place, throughout our working environments.
Additionally, it is legislation from 11 November 2021, that everyone who works in a residential or nursing care home or needs to enter a residential care setting to carry out their role, must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Consequently, ensuring this requirement is met forms part of our recruitment and selection process, where applicable.
About you
You will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire confidence in those around them and promote behaviours that build a trusting and inclusive working environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills are vital along with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Solid IT skills are essential with the ability to identify opportunities to digitise what we do and ensure digital inclusion of staff and residents.
The role of Deputy Manager offers the right candidate the opportunity to use their knowledge, skills and experience to assist in leading and creating an environment where outstanding person-centred care is consistently delivered.
