Accent is proud to provide support and affordable housing to people of all ages and circumstances and we are now seeking an enthusiastic professional to help us deliver our services for older people. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Scheme Manager based at Milnshaw Gardens in Accrington.
The ideal candidate will already have experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate a positive, proactive approach to the management of the scheme. The Scheme Manager role includes carrying out weekday checks on residents and ensuring the building; communal areas, garden and grounds are cleaned, maintained and secure.
You will be comfortable liaising with other Accent staff, including working closely with the local customer partner and with contractors. You will also be comfortable working primarily on your own and taking responsibility for the scheme.
It is key that you are able to manage residents in order to support them whilst meeting all of Accent’s priorities and values. You will be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies when they arise and will appreciate the importance of thorough record keeping, including risk assessments and health and wellbeing plans.
You will have used housing management systems in the past and have good general IT skills. Strong time and people management abilities are essential. You will be prepared to undertake some housing management functions, e.g. dealing with anti-social behaviour and mediating between residents. In addition, you will be supporting older residents in our general needs properties to live independently in their own homes.
DBS Disclosure check required. Successful candidates will be required to pay £25 for their check. The cost can be claimed back on satisfactory receipt of disclosure.
You will be primarily based at Milnshaw Gardens, Accrington, Lancashire, BB5 4SE however there may be days where you will work remotely
At Accent we’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home as our new way forward. We’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
The spot salary for this post is £22,665 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
