About Cill Dara Housing Association

Founded in 1993, Cill Dara Housing Association (CDHA) is a registered charity and Approved Housing Body (AHB) which provides social housing and tenant services in the Kildare area. CDHA is committed to responding to the needs of the local community and contributing to the continued development of key areas within Kildare.

Over the last 28 years, CDHA has significantly expanded. CDHA’s current property stock is 180 units, with plans for ambitious growth over the coming years. The organisation has recently commissioned a full organisational review, including a financial review and will be developing a new Strategic Plan. The incoming CEO will be expected to have a significant input into this process.

About the Role

Cill Dara Housing Association (CDHA) is seeking an experienced and accomplished leader with a strong management skillset, a strategic mindset and experience working in a multifaceted role in a similar organisation, alongside Boards and committees. The CEO will be dynamic, with a passion for CDHA’s mission. They will have a proven track record of delivering to agreed targets and will be comfortable managing a wide-ranging mix of stakeholders.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide a clear vision and foster a spirit of enthusiasm combined with a ‘can do’ attitude across the entire organisation. They will also have a strong understanding of Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) and the nonprofit sector. The post-holder will review existing structures and processes within CDHA and take strategic steps to advance in areas of potential growth/opportunity, as well as implementing any agreed organisational restructuring. The successful candidate will also be responsible for management of the full operational budget for the organisation, effectively translating financial data into strategic objectives which support organisational growth whilst ensuring a ‘value for money’ emphasis across all activities.

To succeed in this role, the post holder must have extensive previous experience in a high-level, strategic leadership role in an organisation of similar scale/purpose. If you are a determined leader, with experience of managing an AHB to a regulatory standard, we would like to hear from you.
