About the Service/Department

Working within Hestia’s crisis alternative operational team, the Café will provide a safe, welcoming and non-clinical environment to support people who are experiencing psychological distress. The primary aim is to provide an alternative community setting for people in a mental health crisis, who may otherwise attend A&E or access other urgent and emergency services.

About the role

Looking to work flexible hours? Want to work for a vibrant charity which supports vulnerable adults and children?

We are looking for Support Workers to join our bank staff (pool list) to provide support at the above service.

Pool Workers provide vital cover where needed such as sickness, holiday etc. Our pool list offers you complete flexibility when it comes to working hours. If you are studying, have a young family, just looking for a few extra hours or be able to amend your availability from week to week, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

If you think you could help us deliver excellent services we’d love to hear from you. Whether you have years of experience and are looking to get back in to work/earn a bit of extra money or you’re new to this line of work and wondering if it could be suitable for you, why not apply?

Please note that this post is to work at this service only. Therefore you will be required to commit to work at this service for a minimum period of 6 months before being considered for other services.

What Hestia offers

  • Your holiday entitlement will be added on top of your hourly salary of £10.33 with a total amount of £11.44 paid for every hour you complete.
  • Learning and Development Opportunities: We are committed to providing Pool Workers with relevant learning (in form of core courses) and development opportunities
  • Mentoring: Operational Managers will act as Mentors to Pool workers, helping identify learning and development needs.

About Hestia
