Salary: £58,580 to £77,265 per annum + £5,000 Car Allowance

Hours: 36 per week

We're currently looking for a Development Manager - Strategic Land to be responsible and accountable for the Development Management and master-planning of strategic land assets undertaken by Clarion Housing Group and Latimer Developments.

Working closely with the Senior Development Manager, Strategic Land team and other Development functions, the role will follow the completion of options or acquisition of land through to achieving successful planning permission.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:-

  • Preparation of the Project Business Plan and Development Brief for strategic land and complex residential or mixed-use projects including the project Vision. Setting the project aspirations and deliverables in line with Clarion requirements. This includes an awareness of the key Project Gateways and approvals process.
  • Overseeing the preparation of a concept design and to prepare an outline financial appraisal, working with the Strategic Land Financial Lead of that design using relevant software (Pamwin, Excel, Argus) to show how the project can make a profit/surplus, working closely with the other development functions to outline time, cost, revenue & return.
  • Be responsible for the on-going project appraisal to report development viability in required reporting structure.
  • Oversee the strategic infrastructure requirements of the projects and manage their design, phasing and implementation alongside other Clarion Development functions to maximise the value of the projects, whilst delivering on Clarions place making aspirations.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of Strategic Land Masterplanning, infrastructure delivery and development. You'll also have substantial and relevant residential project experience as well as a range of real estate industry experience including extensive residential experience. Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills are also essential for the role.
