Are you passionate about helping people transform their lives by supporting individuals with business start up and business sustainment?

This is an exciting opportunity where you will work nationally to support our residents with business start-up and business sustainment information, advice and guidance.

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced Business Advisors / Mentor. This is a busy role where you'll develop and deliver business start-up training nationally, create specific actions plans and set goals with customers and monitor and record progress along the way. You will work closely with our network of Employment Support Officers to ensure eligible customers are suitably supported and willo be required to develop and establish strong external relationships with regional support services that can further aid our customers with their business start up / sustainment needs (e.g. Growth Hubs, FSB, Chamber of Commerce).

Your other main duties will include:

  • Provide customers requiring business start-up support with advice and guidance to assist them to successfully set up and commence trading and offer on-going mentoring support to go on to maintain their own sustainable business
  • Use a variety of techniques to deliver virtual Business Start Up training to supporting customers' in their Business Start Up.
  • Attend and report into regional team meetings, as required.
  • Conduct research to analyse the market and identify the support available for Business Start Ups / Sustainment.

To be successful in the role, you'll have demonstrated experience in delivering thorough and in-depth business support and be confident in your ability to advise new businesses on options available.You'll be a strong self-starter and have excellent mentoring and coaching skills with an organised and methodical approach to your work.
