Southend-on-Sea, with flexible/ home working available
Up to £44,000 per annum plus car user allowance
Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)
Are you a communications professional seeking your next career move?
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications Manager to oversee the management of all communications to our customers, internal staff and external stakeholders, including the media. You’ll effectively maintain and protect the reputation of Estuary and confidently lead our communications strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy, working with others to ensure Estuary communicates effectively.
- Managing staff communications channels and developing the best way of communicating with staff via townhalls, videos, texting, management cascades and events
- Managing stakeholder relations via media relations and PR, social media including managing production and writing of annual reports (in consultation with Director of Governance and Corporate Assurance), website copy (stakeholders)
- Acting as the single point of contact for all media enquiries.
- Reviewing and overseeing ERIC, and social media such as Twitter, Facebook Youtube etc. managing internal campaigns such as #safetosay
- Business partnership with Directorates (staff and customers) and the CEO (stakeholders) and governance function (communicating with the board).
- Leading a communications campaign on Estuary’s business strategies, including our new Corporate Strategy.
- Directly managing the Senior Communications Designer.
Ideally you will demonstrable experience of:
- Qualifications or professional training in: PR/Marketing, project management, writing, social media, are a preference
- Communications planning and project management
- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
- Experience of dealing with local and housing media
- Knowledge of managing a stakeholder environment
- A good understanding of all social media platforms
