New challenges and inequalities have emerged during the pandemic, and barriers that existed before have grown. The Black Lives Matter movement has highlighted the urgent need for more to be done to address racial inequalities. Housing supply continues to fail to keep up with demand, particularly for those on lower incomes, and people’s care needs are growing. The government has made the welcome commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with the efficiency of existing homes having a major part to play.

Against this backdrop we have significant challenges and opportunities ahead of us, and we need energised and committed people at every level of the organisation to shape and deliver our new strategic plan.  Following the appointment of 4 new board members in the past year, we are now looking to welcome a further board member to Chair our Customer Services Committee.

This position is remunerated at a rate of £14,000 per annum. Remuneration is subject to statutory deductions and payment is via the MTVH PAYE scheme. The Term of office is three years, which is renewable up to a maximum tenure of six years, with a time commitment of approximately two days per month.
