Southway Housing Trust is a community based housing organisation committed to providing high quality services to the people and neighbourhoods that we work in. Southway Housing Trust is a "not for-profit" landlord, based in Didsbury, managing and improving approximately 6,000 homes in South Manchester and is half way through a programme of creating 1,600 new homes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be our next Head of ICT. For the right person we offer a 35 hour week, competitive salary, excellent contributory pension scheme, and 25 days holiday (rising 1 day per year of service up to 30 days) and a non-contributory healthcare cash plan.

We are looking for a business focused, experienced ICT professional, with a proven track record of; leading and developing ICT personnel and teams, and successful ICT service development and delivery in a senior ICT management role.

Substantial knowledge and experience of Information Technology with ability to lead technical staff and small teams covering, project & programme delivery, ICT support, network and data security, infrastructure support and maintenance & education and training is essential.

Your main responsibilities would include:

Strategic1. To develop Southway's strategic ICT plan in collaboration with business services and the Executive Group, for consideration and approval by Southway's Board.

2. To lead the continual development and optimisation of ICT systems to provide excellent services for staff and customers by ensuring the alignment of ICT plans, programmes, and projects with core business strategies.

3. To identify and deliver improvements in Southway's digital workplace platform for staff and business transformation opportunities for customer engagement, by responding to changes in relevant technologies and Southway's operating environment.

4. To devise and deliver an ongoing client relationship management programme, staff communication plans and engagement with senior managers to support the delivery of corporate objectives.

IT Operations5. To oversee management and on-going development of all ICT operations, infrastructure, systems, and services, thereby assuring IT systems and services are fit for purpose, and datais properly secured in line with requirements for compliance and legal obligations, and best practice.

6. To lead, manage and develop the ICT staff team.

7. To establish and manage third party contractors and contractor relations, to support the delivery of ICT strategies and SLA's.

8. To contribute to preparation and management of Southway's Data Plan, which reflects the completeness and accuracy of information held in systems and considers how data can be better used to deliver and improve services.

9. To be available to cover and direct ICT Out-of-Hours operations and incident response.

Governance10. To actively manage and monitor ICT risk and embed best practice risk management into all ICToperations.

11. To procure ICT goods and services in accordance with relevant internal and external regulations with the objective of "best value" being maintained.

12. To evaluate and action external audit recommendations in an appropriate and timely manner to maintain process assurance and ongoing service improvement.

Financial Management

13. To develop and manage ICT budgets, sufficient to meet the agreed ICT strategies, plans and services to the required standards.
