We are looking for a Nursery Nurse (1 post) to work on a casual basis, during term time, to join our Health and Wellbeing Team.  

 

Working as part of the May Logan Centre Nursery team you will report to the Senior Nursery Nurse and will assist in the provision of a high standard of care for children placed in the nursery in a way that meets their personal, social, emotional, communication, language and physical development needs. 

You will share in the responsibility of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in the nursery. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of appropriate programmes of activity for the children as part of the nursery team. You should be familiar with and implement the National Standards and Ofsted guidelines and recommendations of good practice and conform to the policies and procedures of The May Logan Centre Nursery.

To be successful you will have previous experience of working within a childcare setting and have knowledge of keyworker systems, SEN, one-to-one work and record keeping. The ideal candidate will have at least an NVQ level 3 in Childcare or equivalent and will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both children and parents.

The base location for this role is May Logan, Bootle. However please note that due to Covid-19, we have adapted our working arrangements under government guidelines and Safe Systems of Work.  Discussions around the current working arrangements and Safe Systems of Work specific to the role will take place during the interview process.
