Guinness Property provide repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our customers’ homes are safe and maintained to high standard.
About the role
We currently have a vacancy within Guinness Property for a Regional Commercial Manager based in Chesterfield. Reporting to the Regional Head of Service you’ll be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective delivery of sub-contract works and for producing payment applications for chargeable works delivered on a regional scale.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will likely have quantity surveying knowledge gained within either the public or private sector along with significant experience of managing external contractors.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Experience in managing external contractors to deliver works in a responsive environment.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed timescales.
- Understanding of construction industry processes, frameworks and ways of working.
- Proven ability to produce accurate costs submissions, valuations and provide margin analysis on works.
- Good oral and written communications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Leadership and Management Standard.
Desirable:
- Experience in the social housing sector
- Ability to work effectively without high levels of supervision
- Ability to understand business systems and extract relevant information to support KPI’s
