We are looking to recruit a Director of Growth and Strategic Information. This role will focus on enabling growth, informing strategy, providing assurance and sharing knowledge and will see you lead on the design, implementation and embedding of Aster’s Growth Strategy, reporting into the Chief Strategy Officer.

 

What you’ll be doing

This is a key senior leadership role within the Growth and Assurance directorate. As well as leading on Aster’s Growth Strategy you will hold a strategic role in mergers and acquisitions activity, the procurement strategy and will develop new models for growth, efficiency and business development.

 

With a long term view, you will provide strategic leadership, collaborating with key colleagues to ensure effective corporate planning and performance frameworks are in place, supporting Aster’s vision and business model.

 

Key elements of the role will include, but are not limited to –

 

Working with Boards and Executives to keep the corporate planning and performance frameworks under continuous review, identifying, developing and embedding improvements

 

The design and development of strong partnerships to influence Aster’s further business sustainability and resilience

 

Provide commercial insight in the delivery of procurement, using business and market intelligence to develop a risk-based business procurement strategy, with an oversight of £200m per annum procurement spend

 

Use of internal and external intelligence to grow Aster’s reputation and develop relationships with key political and sector contacts

 

Work with key stakeholders to develop new approaches to growth, investigating new markets and products

 

About you

You will be educated to degree level, hold equivalent post graduate qualifications or have significant senior leadership experience.

 

You will be confident in a strategic role, working at a senior level with boards and committees. You will have vast experience developing and implementing strategies, whilst continually managing and improving services.

 

You will be a strong people leader, with the ability to develop and empower, ensuring a high performance service is delivered. You will provide expert advice not only to your team but also Non-Executive Directors, Executives and senior colleagues.

 

You will have knowledge of the housing sector and will understand all issues that impact, political, social and economic.

 

You will be experienced in performance and data management and reporting, including relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
