We are seeking a highly credible Head of Human Resources to join our leadership team to further develop our excellent reputation of being a leading children’s charity operating across East Anglia. We want a dynamic, engaging leader who will support building on Break’s huge success of delivering high quality child care services for over 50 years.

At Break, we put relationships at the heart of what we do so we need an enthusiastic person to join our ambitious and innovative Leadership team.

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of management within an HR role ideally in a multi-site organisation. As a senior HR professional in the organisation (with e.g. CIPD Level 7 qualification) you will not only help shape strategy, develop policy and procedure but will implement them with an enthusiasm that ensures engagement, compliance and also fosters continuous improvement. Your ability to both skilfully engage with and educate colleagues across the organisation will be a critical success factor in this role.  The role will need someone who can understand the complexities of employment law, HR practice and how they are best applied in an organisation that spans social care, retail, fundraising and head office support functions.

You will have a track record of developing and managing a customer led function, effectively leading and building teams. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be confident building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally and will have a relentless focus on excellence.

We are looking for a proactive can-do individual who can hit the ground running, demonstrating positive impact through both the review and improvement of what we have but also through identifying and implementing new developments that will ensure that our workforce is able to thrive and deliver optimally in their roles.

If you feel you have the skills, experience, drive and enthusiasm to join this dynamic and successful charity we would like to hear from you as soon as possible.

In return, we will offer you a supportive work environment with a fantastic team, and a smarter working approach to nurture your career with us.

Break is Investors in People Gold accredited and has featured in the Times Best Companies list on three occasions.

For over 50 years our work has positively changed young lives, that's why we need you. Join us at this pivotal time for the organisation, we can't wait to hear from you.
