Permanent, Part Time (20 hours per week)

We’re now looking for a Caretaker to join us at Christopher Thomas Court in the heart of Bristol.

Within the role, you will undertake a range of grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks, achieving set service standards and ensuring a clean, safe surrounding for our residents. You’ll also be required to undertake minor DIY tasks, reporting any major repairs to the Management Team, and carry out visual fire risk assessments, acting on any concerns.

This is a part time role for 20 hours per week. We’d like these hours to be split over 4 days per week – this will include some presence on a weekend, such as a Saturday morning.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a motivated and committed self-starter with strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Have experience of working in a facilities / grounds maintenance / cleaning environment.
• Have basic DIY skills.
• Understand Health & Safety principles and PPE requirements.
• Be an effective and accountable decision maker.

Vocational training and a certification in grounds maintenance, machinery, manual handling or working at heights is desirable, as is some horticultural training.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
