About the role

Here at Rooftop Housing Group, we are now looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to assist the team with a variety of finance tasks.

Within the role, you will assist in ensuring that invoices are paid correctly and promptly in accordance with the Group’s Financial Regulations. This will include resolving invoice discrepancies and engaging with suppliers by phone and email. You will reconcile supplier statements and chase for missing invoices. You will also raise sales invoices, monitor receipts and chase overdue accounts with relevant departments. In addition to this, there will be the preparation of journals, reconciliation of accounts and assisting with the preparation of our year-end accounts.

About you

Do you have experience of working in a finance department? Do you have experience of purchase ledger or sales ledger? If so, we’d love to hear from you! IT literate and with strong customer service skills, you will have 5 GCSEs at grade C and above (or equivalent) including Maths and English and the ability to understand complex information from various sources.

An AAT qualification would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of completing reconciliations.
