We’re looking for two Assistant Project Managers to join our Capital Programme delivery team.

The Role:

As Assistant Project Manager, you will join our well established, busy and dynamic Property Services team that sits within the Asset Management Directorate on a permanent basis.

 

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will assist in delivering projects, managing and overseeing a planned programme of building services’ projects to the value of circa £5 million per year.

 

You will be responsible for keeping the Project Manager informed, for giving our Contractors guidance, for liaising with residents and will be pivotal in the success of this programme.

 

We would very much like to hear from individuals with excellent project management skills, including, strong team player, a great organiser and who can build relationships quickly with internal, external stakeholders and customers and is a great communicator.

 

The post-holder should have experience in housing Capital Programmes.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be required to work closely with the project management team running a number of projects from inception to completion
  • Have good communication skills and ability to influence others
  • Be aware of the importance and methods of Resident Enhanced Consultation in a Local Authority setting.
  • Have knowledge of contract administration and the ability to manage contracts financially ensuring value for money is demonstrated
  • Have knowledge and experience in performance management of contractors with a proven track record of improving performance and meeting KPI targets
  • Have experience in managing major works in occupied residential property within a mixed tenure environment
  • Have knowledge and experience of leasehold statutory consultation
  • Have knowledge of and experience in ensuring compliance to applicable Health and Safety standards
