Ensuring that an investment in Lancaster West is also an investment in North Kensington, we are working closely with local communities to provide new jobs and training opportunities, promote health and well-being, and become a neighbourhood equipped for a digital and sustainable future.
 

The Role:

As a Community Development and Partnerships Manager based in the heart of North Kensington, you’ll be key to our success in creating and seizing opportunities to improve the lives of local residents.

You’ll co-create a programme of innovative community initiatives that will have a lasting legacy. These might include training, access to work, health and well-being activities and improvement of communal spaces. We will also look to provide creative respite options for residents from the noise and disruption of refurbishment, as well as coordinating volunteer programmes that deliver outcomes for our community.

You’ll need to forge positive relationships with residents’ associations and community groups, as well as with employers, education and support agencies. You’ll source funding opportunities, promote volunteering and maximise the use of community assets. It’s an opportunity to make your mark in a high-profile location by creating genuine social value, and a lasting legacy.

About You:

This is an ideal step-up for an ambitious project manager with a background in housing, training and employment, or community development. Able to work seamlessly between public, voluntary and public sectors, you’re a strong communicator, capable of drawing together different agencies and services to meet the needs of diverse residents. A problem-solver and a negotiator, you’re pragmatic and ready to move at pace, but also able to plan effectively for the longer term.

You are able to coach and lead a dynamic team of community development project officers to deliver measurable outcomes in line with our community development strategy.

In response to London’s affordable homes crisis, we are committed to building more social housing to help people on lower incomes to live, work, and raise their families in the borough. Housing also covers landlord services and estate management, planning, refurbishment, and advice and support to help maintain healthy and safe homes.
