Linc has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Service Charge Manager to join the Finance team at Linc. As Service Charge Manager you will be responsible for ensuring Linc continues to develop a transparent and trusted approach to the management of service charges on behalf of our customers. In this key position you will take the lead on service charge setting whilst liaising with Asset Management and People and Place colleagues to ensure all service charges are reviewed and applied correctly. The role will ensure that the design of buildings and services is accurately captured and reflected in proposed service charges.

You will be required to prepare the service charge data for communication, rent accounting system update, carry out monthly variance monitoring of all relevant expenditure against income charged and prepare account reconciliations for review.

The person:

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the affordable housing sector, in particular an expert understanding of leasehold and service charge issues alongside statutory responsibilities
  • Experience in dealing with variable service charges
  • Worked previously in a managerial position
  • Developing systems to support business in the management of service charges
  • Customer centric with good interpersonal skills to ensure that we continue to meet all of our customer and colleague expectations
  • Microsoft Excel to intermediate level
