In this key role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and comprehensive leasehold management service and comprehensive housing rent transactions service through the management and maintenance of the rent accounts for council tenants of Welwyn Hatfield. Managing a small team, you will lead on maximising our income streams and consulting with our leaseholders to ensure their accounts are administered and managed effectively.

Additionally, the team will be administering the council’s Right to Buy sales and rent account transactions and annual increases. To succeed, you’ll need to combine your efforts with those of other departments.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has significant experience in leasehold service management and Right to Buy legislation and procedures along with up-to-date knowledge of housing law. As a skilled and effective communicator, you will be able to manage the conflicting demands of the service whilst ensuring customer service standards are maintained. You will also need to have some experience of supervising staff and be someone with an eye for detail and good problem-solving skills.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
