PROTECTING FUTURES

The world of social housing regulation and accountability is fast evolving, our Governance & Assurance team is taking major strides to enhance the development of an effective assurance framework underpinning our strong social purpose and provision of customer-centric services as we deliver ‘Great Places’, ‘Great Services’ and ‘Great Tomorrows’.

As a result we’re investing in our governance arrangements to build on the strong foundations we already have in place with this in mind we’re on the hunt for an Executive and Governance Assistant to provide efficient and effective support to the Group’s Directors, and the Executive Team.

You’ll definitely be looking for variety in your next role as in addition to secretarial and administration duties, key tasks will include arranging and servicing meetings, booking venues, making travel arrangements, managing diaries and circulation of information in advance of meetings to name but a few!

You’ll have the perfect platform to showcase your very strong literacy skills and attention to detail as you will be taking minutes, reading, editing and writing reports as well as processing expenses claims.

Your background as an Executive Assistant or PA at Director level will shine through in your confidence to handle difficult situations, work effectively under pressure and your strong organisational skills.

You’ll be able to be flexible in your working hours as there may be times you’ll need to be out and about. We can be flexible in this role too so part time hours will be considered.

With your application we would like a covering letter of no more than one page telling us how you feel your skills, competencies and experience match the role profile. You should also explain how you align with our culture and values. You can include this in your CV document or email to recruitment@futureshg.co.uk

IF YOU’RE SUCCESSFUL

You’ll be joining a highly motivated and growing team, determined to play our part in responding to the delivery of the Charter for Social Housing residents. You can bring all your skills and experience to the different roles available which will help us improve our systems for:

  • partnering with colleagues across the business to manage and mitigate risks
  • ensuring we have great data providing information that enables us to take great decisions
  • leading on data protection
  • providing quality support for our Boards, Committees, executive and internal teams

THAT SOUNDS LIKE ME. WHAT CAN YOU OFFER

We're a dynamic organisation with an amazing culture. We offer competitive benefits that include agile working, mileage, private healthcare options, discount schemes and with a big emphasis on health and well-being. You’ll also have great opportunities to grow and develop, personally and professionally, but the greatest reward will be knowing you’re helping people and communities across our region to thrive.

It’s an exciting time of change at Futures Housing Group! We've moved our main office to a state-of-the-art, flexible new workspace later this year. However in this role the need to attend the office will be on ‘occasional business need’ basis so we’ll provide you with a great agile kit to get on with the job wherever you do your best work!

We’ve also recently signed up to Harry’s Pledge, a campaign to support people who are working but also looking after a friend or family member who needs extra help. This could be an elderly parent, a friend with mental health issues, or a parent carer who looks after a disabled child, to name a few. We know balancing work and caring is tough and that’s why we have an extra focus on supporting team members in this situation. To help, we organise regular virtual support groups, have an Employee Assistance Scheme with 24/7 counselling, and offer Flexible Working from day one, helping you to stay happy at work and at home.

This year we’ve been awarded the coveted Investor in People Platinum award – the highest of IiP accreditation. The award recognises organisations which are passionate about making sure all employees get the best experience at work.
