Providing over 13,000 homes for affordable rent and low-cost home ownership across   Shropshire, Staffordshire and Telford and Wrekin.

Delivering innovative care solutions ranging from domiciliary care for the elderly to supported housing and care for adults with learning difficulties, as well as dementia nursing care.

This is a really exciting time to join and lead our Business Information team. The demand for data and analysis within the Group has never been higher and the insight we can offer the business has never been more important.  We operate in a sector where there is a growing risk environment, more regulatory focus and a growing ambition to serve both our current and new customers.

The Business Insight work is key to that, and we have an ambition to grow and develop the service, so that all performance monitoring and decision making is supported by top-class insight. This new role is key to that ambition and we are looking for someone able to rise to challenges and be a creative, socially-minded and dedicated leader to manage the excellent team of Business Information Analysts.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced data professional with proven experience of extracting, analysing and presenting data to deliver insight to decision makers.  Experience or knowledge of the Housing sector would be an advantage, but a proven track record and proven ability to understand risk management and how data can help is essential.

The role will be leading a data analysis service to the Executive and Leadership teams across all Group activities and developing that service whilst managing the BI team.

This role will also:

  • Support strategic decision-making through insight and data analysis
  • Develop the current BI service and seek continuous improvement
  • Assess the team’s data tools and ensure the team uses software fit for purpose
  • Build relationships across the business to be the first port of call for data needs
  • Build on the excellent relationship between the BI and IT teams
  • Contribute to cultural change, and help the Group mature in its use of data to make decisions

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of a great business. The successful candidate will be a key business partner of the Leadership team, and will be responsible for developing and delivering a refreshed approach to data in the business.

What you will need

We are looking for a creative leader with a positive and professional mindset, someone skilled at building relationships at all levels and influencing change, taking team members and others with them. You will be up for challenging established thinking, but also capable of accepting and taking on new ideas.

You will have experience of working in data and analysis before, preferably in a Housing or not for profit environment. You should have an altruistic, social-minded and risk aware outlook and attitude to your work, where the focus on the customer is paramount. You will have a track record of improving and developing services to ensure the changing needs of the business can be met.

You will be passionate about contributing to organisation wide goals and keen to embrace change and support others to bring the best of themselves to work.  Wrekin dares to do things differently and we will provide you with the environment and opportunities to thrive.  This includes supporting you to develop and enhance your own skills and competencies.

If you would like an informal conversation about this role and the Group then do reach out to Richard Nowell, Head of Financial Planning & Treasury via richard.nowell@wrekin.com

Benefits:

In return we offer you an interesting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a supportive organisation.
