About the role

*This is a permanent part time opportunity with a salary of £22,106 - £24,563 per annum, based on 28 hours per week*

People matter here at Platform, we are looking for a Governance and Regulation Officer with a genuine desire to make a difference to people’s lives and our communities, to help move the great work we are already doing here at Platform to the next level.

In this role, you will have responsibility for supporting the Head of Governance and Regulation to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and to maintain high standards of corporate governance across the Group.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience to lead the effective administration of the Group’s board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, collating and reviewing board papers to ensure high quality reports and taking minutes. You will also support with the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory filings, as well as maintaining various Group registers and other similar instruments of governance as required. This includes assisting with the signing and sealing process of Group contracts.  

We want somebody who has:

  • Experience in the organisation of board meetings, including the production and circulation of agendas, reports and minute taking.
  • An understanding of governance processes and the governance requirements of a registered housing provider would be desirable. 
  • The ability to working effectively as part of a small team.
  • The ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail and to tight deadlines is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to build successful relationships with people at all levels, including employees and board members.

The ideal candidate will be customer focused, self-motivated, and assertive, with excellent organisational skills.
