DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Estate Compliance Assessor

Hybrid role covering our South region working from one of our regional offices in either London, Reading or Havant.

Full time (37.5 hpw), Permanent

Salary up to £23,450 (£26,250 for London based) negotiable based on skills and experience plus, car payment of circa £2640 per annum and brilliant benefits!

We have fantastic opportunity for you to join our awesome (and growing) team! You will lead a team of 4 Estate Compliance Assessors to ensure the safety of our customers and staff in our properties and estates. Your team will carry out regular Fire Safety and Estate Inspections in our common and communal flat block areas, making sure that building and fire safety is always maintained.

About you
You will be familiar with safety inspections across a range of different buildings and tenure types. You’ll have working knowledge of building construction and compartmentation, specifically the management of fire doors and their operation in use.

You will have knowledge of specialist items such as emergency lighting, fire alarms and smoke ventilation systems. You will have experience of inspecting, testing, and recording results and interpret the operational requirement.

As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.

Where you’ll work
You’ll work across the South, but you will have specific responsibility for a number of schemes within a designated area. The great news is that you we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.

You’ll be home based for the majority of your time mixed with the attending and inspection of scheme in your designated area. Our team come together approximately 1 day per month, and you’ll be expected to join us.

It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

About our team
You will have the support of a fantastic management team, you’ll be working for our Maintenance and Contract Manager David, who joined the team in 2016 and looks after all aspects on Fire Safety in the South.

There are 9 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! Many of the team are relatively new to Home Group but pride themselves on delivering great customer outcomes through collaboration, communication and doing “the right thing” all of the time.

You will also be responsible for 4 wonderful Estate Compliance Assessors across the South Region spanning from Cornwall to Norfolk who will support in delivering on our customer promise.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Standard Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
