We are currently on the lookout for a Building Safety Surveyor! Location: We work from home, our modern offices in Stratford, Billericay and also on our sites. Should you be selected, you will be providing assurance for quality of works delivered by our term partnering contractor across our housing portfolio.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Audit Groups Term Partnering contractor and supply chain partners to ensure the quality of works completed across the existing housing stock to meet objectives and best practice.
  • Support business’ internal quality management and property services teams, provide technical advice during construction phases.
  • Assist Fire Assurance Manager to deliver FRA significant findings, undertaking site investigations to clarify the scope of work required; revisiting no access areas, to confirm risk and completing fire door surveys.
  • Lead on the management of small work packages as required;
  • Audit construction works, across the development, regeneration and planned work programs to monitor implication of fire precautions and investigating hazards;
  • Post inspect leasehold alteration schemes in HRRBs in conjunction with the appointed Building Safety Manager;

     

Your experience:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Have worked as a quality manager or have completed or are working towards a fire safety qualification welcomed;
  • Level 3 surveying or quality management qualification.
  • A formal qualification (or working towards) in fire door inspection and passive fire protection inspection, training will be provided.
  • Level 3 qualification in a fire safety subject, would be advantageous but not essential;
  • Knowledge of construction, building regulations, fire and building safety legislation and customer service.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
