We are looking for a candidate with experience in housing options and homelessness to join our Housing Service as Housing Options Team Leader.

The increase in households at risk of homelessness is an issue that affects all services in all areas of the country. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Service as we shape new ways of working and respond to these unprecedented challenges.

You will be responsible for the line management of a team of Housing Options Officers and Assistants. You will work with your team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality Housing Options Service, including housing advice and assistance, issuing 184 decisions, multi-agency working and preventing and relieving homelessness. In addition, you will support the wider ongoing development of joint-working partnerships with other key agencies, with plenty of opportunity for training and personal development.

As well as possessing excellent time management and communication skills, you should be resilient, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. You must have an understanding of the range of support needs of households in housing need.

Knowledge and experience in housing options and homelessness are essential, as is a thorough working knowledge of the relevant Acts.
