About the role

We are delighted to be recruiting for an additional Development Manager to work on our £500m landmark regeneration project in East London. You will be working with the Project Team to deliver a multi-phase regeneration of 1,575 new homes and will be involved from land purchase through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively and creatively manage the planning, design and delivery of development projects.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external clients to ensure schemes meet the organisation’s objectives and exceptional placemaking.
  • Build good working relationships with all stakeholders including residents and development partners
  • Brief and liaise with project consultants and contractors to ensure schemes are viable and deliverable.
  • Regularly review budgets, create and update scheme financial appraisals.
  • Ensure that all projects are evaluated and continuously improved to deliver best value.
  • Ensure continual risk management of development and regeneration schemes.
  • Write clear and concise reports and create presentations for internal and external audiences.

     

 

For the above post you will have/be:

  • Excellent written skills with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent organisational and troubleshooting skills, with a ‘can do’ approach.
  • IT literate with experience of creating and managing scheme financial appraisals.
  • Previous experience working in a development or construction environment
  • Good knowledge of local authority and Greater London Authority priorities.
  • Awareness of the range of funding streams to support the regeneration process.
  • Experience in risk management of complex building contracts/development schemes.
  • Professional Qualification in Planning, Surveying or Project Management would be desirable.
