South Kesteven District Council is going through a period of transformation in its Housing Service and we are recruiting to a Tenancy Services Team Leader position as a key role in our improvement journey. You will be a key part of the Tenancy Services team responsible for supporting the Tenancy Services Manager in the provision of an integrated, professional, customer focused housing management service to the Council’s general needs residents.

Although we love to develop people, at this critical stage in our journey you will need to have had experience of management and delivering a customer focused housing management service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strong technical knowledge of housing and associated legislation, particularly around anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement. You will need to be organised and methodical to manage a complex and varied workload and understand the requirements needed to deliver continuous improvement in service delivery.

The role involves managing a team of housing officers and housing assistants and duties will include:

  • Performance management of a team of housing officers and housing assistants, including completion of regular 1:1s, and advice, guidance and support on complex casework.
  • Ensuring that operational procedures and systems are fit for purpose and that all staff are trained on key policies and procedures.
  • Attend joint agency meetings with other stakeholders as the housing lead, building and improving relationships to deliver positive outcome for residents.

The ideal candidate will have suitable relevant experience and/or qualifications in a housing related environment.

Due to the nature of the role it would be beneficial if you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
