We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic and growing Team! You’ll need to have a great skill set based on one of the market leading visualisation reporting solutions, because we are transitioning to PowerBI with Azure Synapse, and we’ll use Azure Purview and Azure DevOPS, so the personal development opportunities are exceptional.  

 

This a permanent position, working 37 hours a week based in Portsmouth with the flexibility of home and office working. 

 

Here’s the facts about the role: 

As an experienced Business Intelligence professional, you’ll join an established team and service as we embark on our development programme for a new, cloud-based data platform, with Power BI as the integrated tool of choice for business-wide data intelligence.  Working alongside an established team of SMEs, you'll bring extensive knowledge and practical experience of designing and supporting dynamic, integrated BI platforms and services, and you'll develop your skills with us in collaboration with our external consultants, as we implement, and deploy our new Azure Data Services & Power BI platform. 

 

You’ll produce and maintain data models and packages to support reporting and analytics meeting specific business needs. You’ll support the maintenance of the BI platform, working with the BI Architect and IT teams to ensure the platform functions as it needs to, this will include creating dashboards. 

 

The role will support the business by delivering insight through detailed analysis and statistical modelling to drive our understanding of our customer data. You’ll use the Power BI platform to model and interpret our data, designing high-impact, dynamic viz, to deliver high-value analytical insights and inform business decisions.  

 

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and practical experience of the development and administration of the Microsoft Power BI platform and service. You’ll have a proven track-record of designing, implementing, and optimising ETL processes. It’s important you hold up-to-date knowledge of the latest Power BI features and functionality, including developments in integration with other MS stack tools and a sound understanding of SSRS, SSIS, DAX, SQL server, T-SQL. 

 

An understanding of the housing sector would be a real advantage as would knowledge of, or experience in Azure SQL products & practices, working in DevOps environment, MS Visual Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps.
