Job Details
Clarion Housing Group has identified a programme over 50 small site opportunities in its existing estates portfolio where it could develop in excess of 1000 new affordable homes. These sites provide an opportunity to deliver innovative design and delivery solutions in addition to creating affordable homes and improving our existing communities.
What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Director of Special Projects, the Delivery Manager will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the team plays its role in delivering 50,000 new homes in 10 years in accordance with the business plan. You'll deliver multiple projects within current development programmes already in delivery or in the pipeline.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated individual with a strong background in delivering projects across a range of tenures including low cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures. You must have proven experience within a housing development or other property based commerical organisation.
You'll have experience of successful engagement and working with development partners including local authorities, private developers, funders, grant making bodies and internal and external projects teams. A sound working knowledge of the development and construction process from inception and feasibility through to completion, handover and operation is key.
A few other key skills and experience we're looking for include:
Minimum HNC equivalent (preferably a Degree) in a development delivery role or construction related field
Can demonstrate a detailed and complete understanding of contract obligations, which is complemented with a good working knowledge and experience of contract administration, including interim payments, design management, change control, quality management and final certification
Good understanding of delivering phased regeneration projects
