About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Concierge to join our team in Manchester on a permanent full-time basis, working 37.25 hours per week upon average (working pattern is 2 days on, 2 nights on, and then 4 days off).

Reporting into the Estates services Manager, you will be responsible for providing a service that is welcoming and an effective access control service which ensures a clean, safe and secure living environment for our tenants at India House in central Manchester. Your role will consist of cleaning, door access and control of CCTV monitoring.

Our Concierge team is made up of 3 other Concierge staff who all lone work on a shift basis covering 24/7 so you will be included in that rota.

What we’re looking for

You’ll not only have experience in a customer service environment, but you’ll also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

Essential:

  • Good time management.
  • Good team working skills and flexible approach to work.
  • Good level of IT skills and knowledge of CCTV operation.
  • Direct experience of working with customers and customer feedback in a service delivery environment.
  • Understanding of the importance of health and safety compliance.
  • Good oral and written communications

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of operating CCTV, including compliance with the Information Commissioner’s CCTV Code of Practice
  • Contractor management and experience in the delivery of estate, cleaning, caretaking and maintenance services
  • Experience of Health and Safety legislation and best practice in the delivery of estate services
