Guinness Property provide repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our customers’ homes are safe and maintained to high standard.

We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Commercial Manager to join our team based in Havant on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Regional Head of Service you’ll be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective delivery of sub-contract works across the South. This will include overseeing the entire end-to-end process of external contractor works (from procurement through to works completion), producing payment applications for chargeable works, performance management of contractors and maintenance of commercial pricing structures. Site management is delivered by the contractors and operational managers, this role focuses on the commercial management and performance management of the contractual relationships.

This role would suit someone with a commercial operations background within a trades/maintenance environment. Ideally, you will have significant experience of managing external contractors, a background in quantity surveying, brilliant relationship management skills and a keen eye for detail.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in managing external contractors to deliver works in a responsive environment.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed timescales.
• Understanding of construction industry processes, frameworks, and ways of working.
• Proven ability to produce accurate costs submissions, valuations and provide margin analysis on works.
• Good oral and written communications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
• Demonstrates the Guinness Leadership and Management Standard.
• Driving License and access to own vehicle
