An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Homeownership specialist to work alongside our existing Homeownership team within our Development, Sales and Homeownership Directorate.

The role of Senior Homeownership specialist is to provide management support to our Homeownership team to ensure Homeownership queries are dealt with promptly and in accordance with lease obligations. We pride ourselves on great customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with our key internal/external stakeholders.

The role will require excellent knowledge and understanding of Leases, Transfers, and Legislation along with effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with various regional teams and external bodies to resolve complex queries.

As the Senior Homeownership Specialist, a typical week might include:

  • Providing management and support to our Homeownership Specialists and Homeownership Assistant to ensure management of Homeownership properties is dealt with efficiently and professionally.
  • You will ensure team members address queries and property management issues with the aim of resolving queries at first point of contact and supporting with more complex cases. The SHS reports to the Asset Sales, Leasehold and Homeownership Manager (ASLHM) and will deputise for them as and when required. Regular communication with the ASHLM will provide updates on performance, service levels and improvements made.
  • You will ensure the Homeownership specialists are compliant and operate in line with current property laws, legislation and the lease, by keeping yourself up to date with homeownership legislation, case law and first tier tribunal decisions.
  • Collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to enhance the customer journey, simplify and seek new ways of working in order to deliver continual improvement.
  • Your excellent communication skills, organisation and drive will enable the team to provide a seamless service to customers. You will be highly organised and proactive in your approach, maintaining strong positive working relationships internally with colleagues and externally with stakeholders. You will positively contribute and implement process change and ensure colleagues you line manage are aware of how their success contributes to the organisations achievements.

 

The must haves

  • Meaningful experience in a leasehold management role
  • Experience in managing complex leases, transfer documents and contracts
  • A flexible approach to duties to support colleagues achieving objectives
  • Ability to suggest new and improved ways of working
  • Able to demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and deliver on your promises
  • Excellent communicative skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent administration skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and keeping database records up to date
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car

 

Location

At Accent we’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home as our new way forward. We’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.

Should you wish to work occasionally from any of our regional offices, you may do so on a hot desk basis which will need to be arranged via our online booking system.

 

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £37,000 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.        

 

Car Allowance

£1,250 per annum paid monthly (subject to TAX and NI deductions, non-pensionable)
