Office Administrator

Salary: £26,000 pa

Location: Working in Harrison Housing’s office in St James’s Gardens, W11 4RQ, close to Holland Park underground for a minimum of 2 days per week, blended with remote working from home.

Harrison Housing

We are an almshouse charity and a registered provider of social housing with almshouse schemes throughout London, some of which are sheltered housing provision with Scheme Managers working on site. The charity was founded in 1869 to provide decent homes for retired domestic workers who would otherwise be facing severe hardship in their old age.

We continue to provide and manage high quality housing for older people in housing need, and as well as managing our own stock we also provide management and property maintenance services to a number of smaller independent almshouse charities in London. In total we manage around 200 units.

The post

This job would suit someone with general experience in office administration, and some experience of using housing software systems to maintain tenant and property records. By phone and email, you will be the first point of contact for residents and colleague organizations, so a helpful, organized and customer focused approach is essential.

You will be providing admin services to colleagues and holding responsibility for maintaining excellent, accurate and up to date information systems. We would love to hear from candidates who have experience of administration in repairs and maintenance for a housing organization. You will be responsible for printing and sending out letters and other communications with our residents, by email and text.

We are a small and friendly staff team managing housing over a wide geographical area, and you will have the opportunity to gain varied experience in organizational administration and housing based customer service.

To apply for this role, please upload your up to date CV below along with a supporting statement explaining your interest in the role and suitability, as well as the contact details of 2 referees.
