Job details
You’ll have the confidence, creativity and inspirational leadership skills to work at a strategic level, ideally with experience of doing this in a similar organisation or sector. Strongly outward facing, the job involves building and managing effective partnerships with a wide range of community partners, plus close engagement with our customers and board.
We’re seeking an energetic person with a solid understanding of the changing regulatory framework for housing providers and our broader role as an active community placeshaper. We’ll expect you to challenge how things have been done before, and bring fresh ideas to modernise our services and deliver greater value for money and customer satisfaction.
As part of the senior leadership team, you’ll report directly to the Chief Executive and play an important role in all business growth, improvement and innovation. You’ll be a champion for equality, diversity and inclusion, and a high-profile ambassador for our organisation.
Alongside the external and corporate responsibilities, you’ll need a sound grasp of the operational detail and performance, with the ability to provide hands-on support and guidance to your three heads of service.
Company
Created in 2001, we’re an ambitious and growing charitable housing association providing more than 6,000 affordable homes for rent and shared ownership across East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, and North West Leicestershire. We’re an organisation that’s driven to make a difference – by transforming homes, lives and communities.
Through our people, purpose and performance we play a vital role in reducing homelessness, and in partnership with others we offer a wide range of extra support to help individuals and neighbourhoods to thrive. We live and work by our values of passion, integrity, excellence, local/regional focus, people and partnerships.
We’re proud to be part of the PlaceShapers network of more than a hundred community-based housing providers, committed to a wider role for housing in health, education, skills, employment, inclusion and protecting the environment.
We aim to be a great place to work – providing flexible working options, competitive rewards and opportunities for person to develop and reach their potential.
