Health & Safety Officer
Kidderminster, Worcestershire
Circa £41,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week
Community Housing is looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Officer to help us to continue maintaining and operating a safe and compliant environment. We have a 3 year “Health and Safety Plan” and a “Building Safety Preparedness Plan” which both support our Corporate Plan and set our direction of travel. Candidates must have demonstrable experience (preferably from the housing or construction sector) and must possess a NEBOSH general certificate (or higher). All candidates are expected to be a member of IOSH and should be able to demonstrate an up-to-date cpd. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of health and safety legislation, practises and requirements particularly in the construction and/or care field. Candidates should have knowledge of using electronic health and safety systems but more importantly must have the ability to undertake holistic data analysis across a range of data categories.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Shaping the health and safety management framework and safety culture
- Working in collaboration with operational services and providing pragmatic advice and support
- Monitoring and managing the company’s accident reporting database
- Conducting inspections and high-level accident investigations.
