Join this innovative social business as Development Manager and seize the opportunity to explore new technology and drive forward smarter methods, particularly on land-led schemes.

Raven is a business with a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives in Surrey and Sussex. We aim to be an outstanding provider of homes, a cornerstone of the community and an innovative employer.

Raven’s development programme is different. All our new build homes will be operationally net zero carbon. Why would we build homes now that need retrofitting in a few years’ time? Let’s get it right now. We are a founding Board member of Building Better, a group of developing RPs and LAs working to improve the use of MMC. We are a great team, now looking for a new member to support us with our programme.

As Development Manager, you’ll be part of a vibrant development team, committed to improving what and how we build. Our development programme has shifted focus to land-led delivery, including a range of regeneration/redevelopment sites that our asset team have already identified. Taking schemes from initial feasibility to final account, you’ll be delivering new homes across a range of tenures, including market sale.

Working with the Development team and other stakeholders across the business, your objective will be use all your project management, planning, financial, legal and organisational know-how to maximise the social and financial return of existing Raven assets and the exploration of off-site construction.

We’re looking for a Development Manager, either experienced in land-led delivery and, ideally, regeneration/redevelopment, or with some development management experience combined with the right attitude, including a real desire to learn and be part of our place making. You should also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.

We support and trust our staff to work as a team and be their best. We offer good salaries and benefits, a great pension scheme, paid holiday and sickness benefit, plus support for further training to develop your skills and career.
