We’re really excited about the future at Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, and we want you to be part of our exciting journey. We're looking for Multi Skilled Joiners to join our Responsive Repair team in Grimsby. In return, as our Multi Skilled Joiner, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,095 per annum, plus benefits.

In this role you'll be carrying out general repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment in LHP properties, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about their work and is focused on delivering a great service for our customers, promoting our Customer First Value. 

You'll be given your own company vehicle, branded work clothes so that you can feel proud to represent LHP and the tools that you need to complete your job.

As a Multi Skilled Joiner, we're looking for experience in other trades such as plumbing, bricklaying, plastering. This will give you a more varied role where no two days are the same.

What will I be asked to do as Multi Skilled Joiner?

  1. To diagnose repairs when appropriate ensuring accurate diagnosis is made
  2. To undertake any repairs as necessary in the maintenance of plumbing, plastering, tiling, flooring, roofing, window frames, skirting and ceilings etc.
  3. Be responsible for ensuring that all work has been carried out both effectively and efficiently
  4. To undertake as necessary works associated with major and minor new construction work, 1st fix, 2nd fix etc.
  5. Responsible for maximising output and efficiency and minimising waste
  6. Responsible for ensuring van stock is maintained and used effectively
  7. Work as part of our call-out team earning additional pay and allowances

What skills, attributes and experience will I need as a Multi Skilled Joiner?

  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent and/or a minimum of NVQ level 2 or its equivalent, in Joinery
  • Skills with any of the following trades, Plumbing, plastering, tiling, flooring, UPVC repairs and glazing. Your full skill set will be assessed using a skills matrix.
  • The ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of duties contained within the job description
  • The ability to understand and interpret work instructions, drawings, and schematic drawings
  • The ability to communicate on a one-to-one basis and produce information in a written form, including completion of necessary work documentation
  • The ability to accurately trace and rectify faults
  • Must have a full valid driving license
  • The ability to use PDA/iPad and other electronic communication devices
