Homes First delivers a unified housing service for Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils, managing a combined housing stock of approximately 6,700 homes.  The Neighbourhood Housing team manage tenancies and work with residents across the Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough areas.

We are looking for two experienced prevention and sustainment officers to join our established team. The successful candidates will work within the Tenancy Management Team with a focus on the effective management of our complex hoarding and self-neglect casework.  The roles will require a multi-agency approach to build and support community collaboration and engagement on our housing estates.

Also for one Tenancy Resolution officer with a focus on the management of our complex ASB and safeguarding casework, but with the ability and willingness to work across the neighbourhood housing service.

As well as experience in managing tenancies within the social housing sector or with transferable skills, you will have enthusiasm, effective communication skills, the ability to work well within a team and a willingness to learn.

Job Overview

The work is varied and will include a wide range of tenancy management services as well as tenancy sustainment, enforcement, risk management and anti-social behaviour.  Officers will assist vulnerable customers and manage complex cases, raising safeguarding concerns and working with partner agencies to support tenants to sustain their tenancies.

As a senior caseworker you would act as first point of contact for the tenants on all matters relating to their tenancy; helping us to provide a sensitive, pro-active and comprehensive service to tenants across our management remit.
