We are currently looking for a Weekend Scheme Assistant to join us, working 15 hours per week over Saturday and Sunday each week. 

What you will be doing:  

  • Acting as the first point of contact to residents 

  • Providing good, consistent customer service to all residents and guests at the scheme  

  • Conducting checks throughout all communal areas ensuring that everything is clean and tidy and in line with health and safety standards 

  • Ensuring regular contact with residents as per support plans 

  • Providing support to the care team in responding to emergency calls 

  • Supporting and coordinating resident activities that promote, health, wellbeing, social inclusion and the mitigation of loneliness and isolation 

  • Carrying out set cleaning tasks as required. 

  • Provide assistance with serving meals during the restaurant lunch service at the scheme, directed by the onsite chef. 

We’d love to meet someone with:   

  • Strong communication and customer service skills 

  • Excellent organisational skills 

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and address conflicting priorities 

  • An approachable personality and the ability to be responsible to requests for help 

  • An understanding of the needs of older people (desirable) 

  • Experience of supporting people to remain independent (desirable) 

  • An awareness of issues relating to professional boundaries and safeguarding (desirable)
